How Invisalign Works
Your set of invisible braces will be marked in two week intervals. Your dental practice will show you how to use your invisible braces. The year long treatment will not require as many visits to your dentist as if you had metal braces. Your invisible braces are marked with a blue dot.
When the blue dot wears away, you need to replace your invisalign alignment braces with a new set. The blue dot usually wears off in two weeks. Each new invisible braces is designed to further correct your teeth by gently moving them into proper positioning in your mouth. Your teeth are actually moved and repositioned by your invisible braces.
Dentistry has come a long way from the older, bulkier metal braces that had wires that needed to be tightened while the teeth were being repositioned. Invisible braces are not the answer for all cases of misshapen mouths full of slanted or crooked or spaced out teeth, but they are the latest and the most comfortable braces invented to date.
